NEPALGUNJ: Nepal Tarun Dal, youth wing of the Nepali Congress, has called a bandh demanding the release of its leader who had been arrested with a pistol two weeks ago. With the announcement of bandh, schools, colleges, factories and market areas have remained closed.

On October 31, Police had arrested President of Tarun Dal, Nepalgunj Sandeep Jung Shah with a pistol from Kohalpur.

Tarun Dal has been accusing the police of keeping the pistol in the car to hoodwink Shah.

Police had found an automatic pistol beneath the seat of the car parked on the premises of a Kohalpur-based resort.
