NEW DELHI: India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has said that Pakistani Army resorted to around 2,050 unprovoked ceasefire violations in 2019 leading to the deaths of 21 Indians.
The Indian government called upon the Islamabad to adhere to the 2003 ‘ceasefire understanding, maintain peace and tranquility along the Line of Control (LoC) and the International border’, Indian media reports said today.
In 2019, Pakistan resorted to over 2,050 unprovoked ceasefire violations, according to the MEA.
It added that Indian forces have been exercising maximum restraint. (Agencies)
