India donates books, buses to Nepal

KATHMANDU: The Government of India on Thursday donated buses, ambulances, and books to Nepal’s various organizations and educational institutions on the occasion of its 73rd Independence Day.

A special function was organized to mark the Day at the Embassy of India in Kathmandu today.

Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri hoisted India’s national flag. He also read out a message sent by Indian President Ram Nath Kovind on the occasion.

Ambassador Puri handed over insurance funds to families and widows of the Nepali citizens killed while serving in the Indian Army.
