Dhulikhel Mayor Byanju and Xi’an official Wang discuss bolstering ties



XI’AN: Dhulikhel Municipality Mayor Ashok Byanju met with Wang Feng, vice-president of the Association of Sister Cities of Xi’an Municipality in Shaanxi Province on Wednesday.

In the meeting held in Xi’an of Shaanxi Province, Byanju and Wang discussed issues related to mutual interest, infrastructure development and bilateral ties between the two municipalities.

Vice-president Wang expressed readiness to further build ties with Dhulikhel Municipality.

He said, “It is necessary to bolster ties between Xi’an Municipality and Dhulikhel Municipality. Xi’an is always ready to join hands with Dhulikhel Municipality in various sectors including infrastructure development.”

Meanwhile, Dhulikhel Mayor stressed strengthening ancient ties subsisting between Nepal and China. “The relations between Nepal and China that began since the Bhrikuti era should be taken to a new height,” said Byanju, adding, “Dhulikhel Municipality and Xi’an Municipality should  join hands for mutual interest, education, tourism, and infrastructure development.”

Officials including Wang from Xi’an Municipality were present in the meeting. Earlier on Monday, Mayor Byanju and Mayor of Xi’an Municipality Li Mingyuan had held talks.
