KATHMANDU: An unidentified group of people torched a vehicle, Ba 2 Jha 3694, belonging to Mangalsain Municipality. The vehicle was destroyed completely in the fire.
The local people reported the incident to the police shortly. The arson attack seems to have been carried out by cadres of banned Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand and a search has been launched for those behind it, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Janak Bahadur Shahi.
The municipality purchased the torched vehicle for Rs 12 million a year ago.
