Sudan military council arrests former government members

SUDAN: Sudan’s transitional military council has arrested some members of the former government, media reports said.

Spokesman of the council has also urged the opposition to pick the next prime minister vowing to implement their choice.

Protests in Sudan have led to the ouster and arrest of leader Omar al-Bashir on Thursday.

Protestors have, however, vowed to continue protests until there is an immediate move to civilian rule.

In a press conference, spokesman Maj Gen Shams Ad-din Shanto vowed to implement whatever the opposition parties agreed. (Agencies)
