Eco-friendly toilets in Mt Everest

KATHMANDU: Nepal has started a 45-day Mt Everest Clan-up campaign starting April. The clean-up campaign will last until June.

Meanwhile, China is building toilets on the side of the world’s peak facing toward the northern neighbor at the altitude of 7,280 meters.

According to Xinhua, toilets will also be built at the camps located at an altitude of 5, 200 meters, 5, 800 meters, and 6, 500 meters besides under the campaign.

The toilet huts will remain until the end of spring.
