LONDON: A music video titled ‘Jadaichhu’ by singer Anju Shrestha has hit the market. The music video was released on Monday.

Composed by Sunil Rai, artists Keki Adhikari and Basundhara Bhusal have performed in the music video.

Shrestha, who is based in London, is optimistic about the music video and said that it would garner a lot of viewers   due to popular artistes’ performances and good lyrics.

Born in Okhaldhunga and brought up in Gaighat and Rajbiraj, Shrestha has a keen interest in music, story writing, drawing and dancing.

She had first recorded her song in 1993 in Hong Kong. She had released an album before leaving for London in 2006. A cine film called EIGHTEEN features one of her songs which was liked by many people. “She likes to attribute her success in the music field to the unconditional support from her husband and children,” she said.

Earlier in 2017, Anju had clinched the title of Mrs Talent in the ‘Mrs Nepal UK 2017’ contest, leaving 16 contenders behind.

Anju is also a playwright. Her two dramas were staged under her own direction. The first play was staged by ‘Mrs Nepal UK’ in a charity show to raise fund for the mentally restarted children in Bhaktapur while the second one was staged by NRN UK to collect fund to help physically challenged people.  It achieved a huge success.

In the year 2015, Anju had performed a role of an earthquake victim in a play called Samayadrishya, which deals with the mega earthquake of 2015. Her songs are based on reality rather than imagination.
