Chand-led outfit behind Dhanusha blast: Police



KATHMANDU: Police shared the outlawed Nepal Communist Party (CPN)-led by Netra Bikram Chand has a connection with a recent bomb blast at Mahendranagar in Dhanusha district.

DSP at Dhanusha Police Office, Rameshwar Karki said that the party’s connection was seen in a preliminary investigation into the case.

He added a cooker bomb was planted at the house of Rajesh Sah of Chhireshwar Municipality last night for not heeding to their proposal for financial aid.

Sah and his son Ananda, 24, were killed on the sport in the incident.

Similarly, Area Police Office Inspector Amir Kumar Dahal who was injured in the incident died while undergoing treatment.  Rajesh’s younger son Prakash, daughter Nikki Kumari and father Bhikhari Sah sustained injuries in the incident.
