Schools in Hong Kong close as protesters occupy roads, campuses

HONG KONG: Anti-government protesters in Hong Kong paralyzed some parts of Hong Kong for the fourth day today, forcing the closure of schools and colleges.

Protestors blocked highways and transport links to disrupt the city, international media reports have said on Thursday.

Protesters also torched some vehicles and buildings. They hurled petrol bombs at police stations and vandalized some shopping malls over the past week.

Several of them occupied roads in the Central business district during their lunch hour.

Protestors carried signs reading “Liberate Hong Kong, the revolution of our time”. (Agencies)
