KATHMANDU: President of Bangladesh Mohammad Abdul Hamid, who is presently on a four-day official goodwill visit to Nepal, is heading for lake city Pokhara on Thursday.
Ramesh Kumar KC, chief district officer of Kaski, informed that President Hamid is scheduled to arrive at Pokhara at 11.30 am today via Nepal Army helicopter.
CDO KC further shared that all necessary preparation to welcome President Hamid at Pokhara is over. Visiting Bangladeshi President Hamid will be received by Gandaki State Governor, acting Chief Minister, ministers, people’s representatives and high-placed government officials at the Pokhara Airport.
In honor of the President, Pokhara Metropolitan City is preparing to demonstrate two cultural programs.
Meanwhile, the high-security arrangement has been placed in Pokhara in view of the visit.
As scheduled, President Hamid will have a short rest at Fishtail Lodge prior to boat riding at the Phewa Lake – one of the most popular tourist destinations of Nepal.
The visiting President then will reach the Rupakot Resort at Rupa Rural Municipality via Nepal Army helicopter and enjoy sight-seeing of fascinating views of Pokhara from the altitude. President Hamid will return to Kathmandu today itself, CDO KC informed.
