KATHMANDU: Nepal is taking on host team Jordan in its first match of the AFC U-16 Championship qualifying match underway at the Prince Mohammed International Stadium in the capital city  Amman on Saturday.

Jordan is considered a strong team. It would be a great achievement for Nepal even if it could manage to end the match in a draw.

Our strategy would be to hold Jordan in a goalless draw,  Sunil Shrestha, coach of Nepali team told Khabarhub. “We are playing in their home ground and Jordan is already an experienced and strong team. Therefore, our strategy would be to hold the opponent in a goalless draw,” said

Nepal had become the first runner-up in the SAFF U-15 Championship held in India recently. But the captain Pradeep Lamsal and other two players Asim Rai and Ishwar Gurung, who played a significant role in winning the tile,  are not participating in the tournament today on their age ground.
