NA Chair says Media Bill will be amended



KATHMANDU: Chairperson of National Assembly (NA) Ganesh Timilsina today said that the Media Council Bill presented in the Parliament will be amended.

He said that an agreement has been forged among political parties to amend the Bill, Chairman Timilsina said at a program in the capital today.

Chairman Timilsina said they would incorporate suggestions from the journalists in the Bill.

On the occasion, NA Vice Chairperson Shashi Kala Dahal said the Bill would be amended according to the suggestions from stakeholders.
