MTPD van kills pedestrian

KATHMANDU: A pedestrian has died after being hit by a van belonging to Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD), Kathmandu.

The pedestrian was hit by the van used by emergency monitoring team, Ba 1 Jha 7866, van under the Koteshwor bridge at 11 pm last night.

Critically injured pedestrian, who was rushed to National Trauma Center, passed away in course of treatment this morning.

DSP Hobindra Bogati said the identity of the deceased is yet to be established.
