Kathmandu-Nijgadh fast-track: NA employs 28 sub-contractors

KATHMANDU: Many people believe that Nepal Army (NA) is constructing Kathmandu-Nijgadh fast-track on its own. But the reality is that NA is not building it itself rather it has employed as many as 28 sub-contractors to build the project, reported Naya Patrika.

According to the report, NA receives the budget from the Nepal government, selects contractors and assigns them to build the project.

NA is currently undertaking five road construction projects including the fast-tract. The Office of the Auditor General, in its  report, often points out flaws in the projects carried out by NA, but they go unheeded.
