Three Nepalis die as apartment catches fire in Kuwait



KATHMANDU: Three Nepali migrant workers suffocated to death on Saturday when a fire broke out in a residential building in the neighborhood of Al Mahboula, in Kuwait City, Kuwait.

According to Nepali Embassy in Kuwait, the deceased are Bijaya Baitha, 29, of Sarlahi, Gauri Darji and Apsara Kami. Address of Darji and Kami is yet to be established.

“The tenants passed away as they were being rushed to Addan Hospital,” GDN Online reported quoting the Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD).

Firefighters managed to rescue 12 other people who were trapped in the building. An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire, Al Qabas reported.
