CoAS Thapa leaving for China on Sunday



KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Purna Chandra Thapa will be leaving for China on July 16.

This will be his first visit to the northern neighbor since he assumed the post of the army chief. He is visiting China at the formal invitation of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.

His eight-member delegation comprises his spouse Deepa Thapa and Adjutant Major General Ananta  Karki, said the Nepal Army Directorate of Public Relations and Information.

During his stay in China, the Army Chief will visit several military structures and historic sites there and will also hold high-level meetings.
