HONG KONG: Hong Kong returned to normalcy today with banks re-opening their branches closed during violent protests.

Demonstrators on Wednesday and Thursday took to streets against a proposed extradition bill with mainland China.

However, demonstrators have planned for another round of protests with the HK government showing no signs of considering the controversial bill.

Meanwhile, police have been criticized for using excessive force on peaceful demonstrators. (Agencies)
