KATHMANDU: A signed jersey of Arsenal attacking midfielder Mesut Özil has been hoisted at Mount Everest Base Camp.

A Nepali fan took the signed jersey the footballer had sent to Arsenal Fan Club in Nepal to Everest Base Camp.

“Look at what happened after I sent my signed jersey to the @Arsenal fan club in #Nepal: One of theirs took it all the way up to the Mount Everest Base Camp at 5,364 metres #M1Ö #YaGunnersYa #GunnersWorldwide #WeAreTheArsenal #M10family,” the footballer wrote in a tweet.

Nepali fans replying to his tweet thanked him for sending the jersey and shared that they would love to tour him Everest Base Camp.
