Chandragiri witnesses season’s first snowfall

KATHMANDU: The westerly wind has caused rain and snowfall in most parts of the country on Friday.

It has been raining in Kathmandu Valley since morning and Chandragiri, a touristic spot of the outskirt of the Kathmandu Valley, has witnessed the first snowfall of the season.

The temperature has gone down across the nation. The normal life has been affected due to snowfall in the mountainous districts including Mugu, Dolpa and Humla.

This is the early snowfall in highlands ever experienced in the last eight years in the country, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
