TULSIPUR: The ‘Chief Minister Rural Development Program’ has been implemented in all rural municipalities of Dang district.

The program has been launched in all ten local levels, including seven rural municipalities.

Currently, Dangisharan, Shantinagar, Rapti and Gadhwa rural municipalities have been running the program, while it was implemented in Banglachuli, Babai and Rajpur rural municipalities last year, State Assembly member Rewati Raman Sharma said.

Each rural municipality has received Rs 5.2 million for the uplift of women, Dalit, minorities and the backward communities.

“The smart village project will be launched this year,” State Assembly member Sharma said.

According to Sharma, villages deprived of electricity would be provided solar energy on 90 percent grants.
