MAHOTTARI: Chandra Kant Raut alias CK Raut-led Janamat Party has filed its candidacy for the by-election in Pipara Rural Municipality on Wednesday.

Anju Devi Mandal has filed a nomination from Janamat Party today.

The by-election is taking place in Pipara Rural Municipality on November 30 after rural municipality chief Binod Chaudhary passed away.

Former leader of the Alliance for Independent Madhes (AIM), who gave up his secessionist demand by signing an agreement with the government on March 8, had launched a new party named Janamat Party to join mainstream politics.
