PM Oli’s treatment to be done in America

KATHMANDU: The treatment of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who has been suffering from a kidney-related ailment, is to be done in America.

Prime Minister Oli’s private doctor Dibya Singh Shah on November 10 left for America to make arrangements to this effect.

Similarly, Rajan Bhattarai, foreign affairs advisor to Prime Minister Oli, who is currently in America to attend a program in Capitol Hill on November 13 and 14, will also hold consultations with the doctors for the treatment of Oli, according to Baluwatar sources.

Oli had been admitted to Grande International Hospital where he underwent hemodialysis twice two weeks ago.

Oli had undergone kidney transplant surgery 12 years ago. He has been visiting various hospitals in foreign countries for health check-ups ever since. Oli was hospitalized at Singapore-based National University Hospital twice in August.

He had undergone plasmapheresis in NUH after his blood creatinine level went up.
