KATHMANDU: The trophy of 2019 Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Emerging Teams Asia Cup has been unveiled.

The coveted cup was made public amid a special function organized in the capital city of Bangladesh on Tuesday.

Captains of eight countries including Nepal participated in the trophy unveiling function.

The cricket tournament will start on Thursday. Nepal national cricket team led by capital Gyanendra Malla has already reached Dhaka. However, former Nepal’s captain Paras Khadka and Sandeep Lamichhane are not in the team. They are in the UAE to play T10 cricket, currently.

Kushal Bhurtel is making his debut in the Nepali team. The other teams include test playing nation India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Oman, Hong Kong. The teams have been divided into two groups.

Nepal is in group ‘B’ alongside India, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong. The rest are in group ‘A’.

The top two teams of each group will reach the semi-finals. Nepal is taking on India tomorrow. Similarly, it will play with Hong Kong on November 16, and the final group stage match with Bangladesh on November 18.
