5.5 magnitude quake jolts Quezon in Philippines

MANILA: A 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck Quezon Province in the Philippines on Friday afternoon, international media reports have stated.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the quake was traced 40 kilometers (km) northeast of Burdeos, Quezon Province and occurred at 4:28 p.m. It had a depth of 10 km.

Intensity IV was felt in Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte and Quezon City while Guinayangan, Quezon experienced Intensity III.
