Two Indian captives escape from police custody

CHANDRAGADHI: Two captives have escaped from the custody of District Police Office, Jhapa.

According SP Dinesh Mainali, chief of DPO, Jhapa, two Indian nationals Ganesh Mandal, 29, and Ganesh Kamati, 26, of Darjeeling in West Bengal, India, who were doing time in the custody, escaped by breaking the iron fence.

They were under investigation on the theft charge.  Security personnel have fanned out to nab them. Meanwhile, a probe team has been formed to investigate how they escaped.
