Nepali cricketer Sandeep’s visa application rejected by US Embassy



KATHMANDU: The United States (US) Embassy in Kathmandu on Tuesday rejected the visa application of Nepali cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane.

Lamichhane has applied for a visa to participate in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2019 set to begin from September 4, 2019, in the West Indies.

Cricketer Lamichhane wrote on twitter that he was speechless and was taken aback to find his visa got rejected.

He tweeted: “I was smiling and I was speechless to see all this, having all the proper documents I got this surprise. Being a sportsperson, it’s going to be a bit hard for me to go and participate in CPL for Barbados Tridents.”

Lamichhane has also mentioned Hello Sarkar, the Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
