Siraha locals terrorized by wild elephants

SIRAHA: Locals in the northern belt of Siraha are terrorized by wild elephants. They have been compelled to stay up the whole night to chase away the elephants that enter their settlements at night and wreak havoc.

The wild elephants come out from the Chure Forest, locals said. The animals enter the villages such as Jamdaha, Musaharniya and Golagaun in Golbazar Municipality-3 at night and destroy houses and toilets.

The wild elephants also cause damage to the crops and vegetable farming.
