Local levels directed to carry out rescue operation



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has directed the local levels to carry out the rescue operation in the aftermath of floods and landslides taking place in various parts of the country.

Joint secretary at the Ministry Kedar Paneru has issued 10-point directives to the local levels for the same as the floods, landslides and other natural disasters are increasing with the beginning of rainy season across the country. Also the chief of disaster management division at the Ministry, Joint secretary Paneru has urged the local governments to manage foods and clothing to the displaced people.

The ministry has also urged to launch search operation for those who have gone missing and are out of contact due to natural disasters.
