Two die after being swept away by swollen rivulet



MAKWANPUR: A man has died after being swept away by Dur rivulet at Namtar in Kailash Rural Rural Municipality in the district, said District Police Office, Makwanpur.

Police have recovered his body from the rivulet following an intensive search this morning. Likewise, a student died after being swept away by floods, said DPO, Makwanpur.

Transportation from Hetauda to Kathmandu has been disrupted after a tree and boulder fell onto the road brought by landslides at Mahabhir along the Prithvi Highway, informed SP Mukesh Kumar Singh of District Police Office, Makwanpur .

Similarly, landslides have also disrupted Hetauda-Bhimfedi and Hetauda-Kulekhani-Fakhel road sections.

A technical team and excavator have been deployed in the incident site to remove debris, said Chief District Officer Ashman Tamang of Makwanpur district.
