Govt rolls back decision to hike public transport fare



KATHMANDU: The government has rolled back its decision to hike the fare of public vehicles for the time being.

Earlier, today the Department of Transport Management (DoTM) had decided to hike the public transport fare by 12 percent.

Sources said the decision was rolled back following a direction from the Prime Minister’s Office.

Likewise, the decision to operate night bus services has also been withdrawn.
