Dhaulagiri base camp trekking route widened

DHAULAGIRI: Trekking route to Dhaulagiri mountain base camp has been repaired and widened. The 8,167-meter tall Dhaulagiri is the seventh highest peak of the world and located at Mudi of Dhaulagiri rural municipality.

The repair of the trekking route from Naurabhir to Sallaghari has been completed at a cost of Rs 5 million. The Gandaki state government’s Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment provided the fund.

According to Chairperson of Dhaulagiri rural municipality, Thamsara Pun, the 9.4 kilometers route has been widened and stone steps have been constructed. Likewise, the trekking route linking Malkabang from Jeltung of Bagar has also been repaired.
