ICC WC: Aussies beat Pakistan by 41 runs



KATHMANDU: Australia has clinched a victory at the ICC Men’s World Cup Cricket on Thursday.

Australia defeated Pakistan by 41 runs at the tournament held at County Ground in Somerset, England. Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Australia notched up 307 runs losing all wickets in 49 overs.

While chasing the 308-run target, Pakistan was bundled out for 266 runs in 45.4 overs.

David Warner made highest 107 runs for Australia. Similarly, skipper Aaron Finch scored 82 runs. In response, Pakistan’s Mohammad Amir took five wickets.
