1326 bighas of land belonging to university seized

KATHMANDU: As many as 1326 bighas of land belonging to trust have captured by the farmers in Dang district, reported Kantipur daily.

According to the report, the land had been donated by 56 people in name of the Sanskrit University in 2010.

The Maoist rebels in 2058 BS had captured the land of Sanskrit University based in Rajpur and handed over the farmers in 2058 BS. The land has not been returned to the university so far.

Sanskrit University currently has 1336 bighas of land in various places including Rajpur, Satbariya, Gobardiha, according to the report.
