Biplav refutes high-profile assassination plot

KATHMANDU: Netra Bikram Chand alias ‘Biplav’ has refuted media allegations that his party was conspiring to assassinate high-profile leaders, a news report in Annapurna daily said.

Biplav who went underground after the government banned his party  Nepal Community Party (NCP) following a series of explosions including on the Ncell towers, dismissed media allegations that his party hatching conspiracy to murder leaders.

In an interview with Annapurna daily, Biplav revealed that the government formally urged him to come for talks with it.

However, he maintained that the talks would not address the demands being raised by his party.
