US Ambassador Randy Berry extends Udhauli greetings



KATHMANDU: American Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry has extended best wishes to the Nepali people on the occasion of Udhauli festival today.

Posting a status on the official Facebook of the US Embassy in Kathmandu, Ambassador Berry wrote, “Happy Udhauli Parwa, Yamari Punhi, and Dhanya Poornimaa, all celebration of a good harvesting season, farming, and the farmers!”

Berry, in the status, has posted his image eating Yamari, a special delicacy prepared by Newari people, as well as those of Kirant Community celebrating the festivals.
