ATLANTA: Former US President Jimmy Carter, 95, was admitted to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta on Monday night ahead of a process to relieve pressure on his brain.
According to the Carter Center, the pressure on his brain was caused by bleeding from his recent falls.
He will undergo the procedure soon, the Center said adding that President Carter is resting comfortably.
Carter, the oldest living former US president, celebrated his 95th birthday on October 1. (Agencies)
