BIRATNAGAR: Chief Minister of Province 1, Sherdhan Rai, has said that good governance has been the state government’s topmost priority.

Inaugurating a three-day training ‘Good Governance for Office-Bearers of Local Government’, jointly organized by Kathmandu-based American Centre, Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Industry Organization, Morang, in Biratnagar on Tuesday, Chief Minister Rai said that the bodies providing service to the people have adopted zero-tolerance to maintain good governance in infrastructure construction and development.

CM Rai hoped that the result could be achieved from people’s direct participation and vigilance.

Transparency in development efforts, he said, was his other priority.

Stating that the local governments need to provide services to the people in an easy and smooth manner, he said the government’s campaign ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’ can be materialized only if good governance is maintained.
