Pillion rider killed, biker hurt in Banepa pile-up

KAVRE: A person died while the other sustained critical injuries in a road accident at Janagal in Banepa Municipality-10 in the district on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Bimal Kutuju.

According to Police Inspector Niranjan Bhattarai of Area Police Office, Banepa, Kutuj died after the motorcycle on which he was riding pillion was pressed between a tipper, Ba 3 Kha 7087, and a Bolero Jeep, Ba 10 Cha, 2154.

Kutuj was a student of Bageshwari College based at Chyamasing in Bhaktapur Municipality-9, said police.

Motorcyclist Krishna Dahal sustained critical injuries. He is undergoing treatment at Karuna Hospital in Banepa.
