Likewise, members of the general public along with cultural floats of various ethnic communities wearing the costumes representing all the seven provinces of the country and standing in the airport precincts welcomed the Chinese President, waving the Nepali and Chinese national flags.

Likewise, flower plants and flower pots were kept at the Airport, Tinkune, Naya Baneshwar, Maitighar, Thapathali among other places for welcoming the Chinese dignitary.

The roads were emptied as soon as President Xi’s special aircraft touched down the Tribhuvan International Airport at 4:45 pm. Civil servants, youths, students and the members of the general public, with the national flags of Nepal and China in their hands, had lined up along the road to welcome the Chinese dignitary.
