Civil employees to welcome Chinese President



KATHMANDU: The civil servants are also extending welcome to the Chinese President Xi Jinping. They will welcome the Chinese dignitary at various places along the route his carcade will take, spokesman for the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, Bhupal Baral, said.

Spokesman Baral said the civil employees always welcome the VVIPs when they arrive on a state visit to Nepal. The civil servants, employees of various corporations and security personnel will also welcome President Xi.

President Xi’s carcade will travel from the Tribhuvan International Airport to Soaltee Hotel via Tinkune, Baneshwar, Babarmahal, Maitighar, Thapathali, Tripureshwar and Kalimati. He will be greeted by students, civil servants, employees of various corporations, security personnel and members of the general public at various places along the route.

Various welcome gates with the portraits of President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Chinese President Xi Jinping have been installed at different spots along the route. Flower plants and flowerpots have been kept at the Airport, Tinkune, Naya Baneshwar, Maitighar, Thapathali among other places for welcoming the Chinese dignitary.
