Xian ready to assist Dhulikhel for prosperity: Mayor Li Mingyuan

KATHMANDU: Mayor of Dhulikhel Municipality Ashok Byanju and Mayor of Xian Municipality of China Li Mingyuan met on Monday.

During the meeting held at the office of the municipal located in Shaanxi Province, they discussed the issues of bilateral benefits and mutual interests.

Also the deputy chief of Xian Bureau of Communist Party of China, Mayor Li said that Xian was ready to establish relation with Dhulikhel Municipality and other municipalities of Nepal.

“Xian wants to further strengthen the bilateral relation between Nepal and China,” said Mayor Li, adding that his municipal was ready to extend any sort of support to that end.

He requested Mayor Byanju to assist for presence of Xian in international community. Mayor Li said that Xian was the heartland of Silk Road and it could create a positive impact in the whole Asia Pacific Region.

During the meeting, Mayor Byanju, who is also the Chairman of Municipal Association of Nepal and elected Vice-chairman of UCALG Asia Pacific, said that Dhulikhel Municipality and the organization was ready to cooperate with Xian.

“Dhulikhel Municipality is ready to take relation with Xian and other municipals in China to a greater height,” he said, “It is necessary to strengthen relation to learn from the development of Xian.”

Mayor Byanju invited Li to visit Nepal, especially Dhulikhel, to which the Chinese Mayor said he was ready to visit in an appropriate time.
