‘Monsoon subsiding with its axis surging towards south’

KATHMANDU: With the axis of monsoon trough lying in the southern direction, the monsoon is getting less active in Nepal.

The monsoon trough is surging towards Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Southern Bihar, Jharkhanda and West Bengal and to the Bay of Bengal, according to Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

The weather is partly cloudy with chances of light rain in the western region, said the MFD. The weather is clear in the Kathmandu Valley since early morning.
