40 gamblers land in police net



POKHARA: District Police Office, Kaski has arrested over 40 gamblers with Rs 258,320 in cash in the last two days in the district.

Police arrested eight gamblers with Rs 121,140 along with four packs of playing cards from the rented room of Bimala Shrestha in Pokhara Metropolitan City-5, Parsyang and seven gamblers along with 62,835 from Niraj Hotel based at Nagdhunga, Pokhara Metropolitan City-8.

Likewise, 11 gamblers held with Rs 32, 815 from the cowshed of Ramraj Paudel in Pokhara Metropolitan City-32, eight from Durga Ghale’s house based in Pokhara-16 and and six people from Hotel Parbat in Pokhara-10. Police said they are investigating the case after taking the gamblers under control.
