Bungee jump facility to be constructed in Helambu



MELAMCHI: Construction of infrastructure has started for operating a bungee jumping facility at Helambu in Sindhupalchok district.

The NL Joshi Consultancy has prepared the DPR of the bungee jumping facility that will cost approximately Rs 53.9 million.

The bridge from where the bungee jumping would be operated will be 370 meters long and 173 meters tall. This would be probably the longest suspension bridge of the country. The longest suspension bridge in the country is 250 meters, it is stated.

The suspension bridge will be constructed at Ngimadawa Pangang of Helambu and it connects Pangang and Dhawagang villages. It will also save five hours of walking distance between these villages.

The construction of bungee jumping facility is expected to attract more visitors to the area.
