PM Oli, Vietnam NA President discuss Nepal-Vietnam ties

HANOI: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Saturday held a meeting with President of the National Assembly (NA) of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Kim Nagan at the parliament building.

During the meeting, both leaders held discussions on contemporary political and socio-economic and parliamentary affairs of both the countries.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Oli requested the Vietnamese NA President to visit Nepal.

He shared that Nepal will host International Vesak Day program in 2020 in Lumbini of Nepal and expected the visit of a large number of monks, scholars and other common people including high-level political leaders from the country will visit the birthplace of Lord Buddha.

In return, National Assembly President said that Vietnam was ready to enhance bilateral ties and people-to-people relations.
