Fewa New Year festival begins today

POKHARA: The three-day 16th edition of the Fewa Festival in Pokhara begins at Komagane Park on the banks of Fewa Lake from today.

The Western Hotel Association is organizing the ‘Fewa New Year Festival-2076 BS’.

The major focus of the festival are food, culture and music, according to Bikal Tulachan, Chairperson of the Association.

A total of 22 varieties of Nepali food to visitors will be served in the festival, he said.

The festival is expected to attract over 100,000 people, including foreign and domestic tourists adding that competition on cultural procession and Gandaki state-level dance competition would also be featured.
