Himalaya Airlines resumes flights to Malaysia



KATHMANDU: Himalaya Airlines has resumed its direct flights to Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia.

The airlines had started its first direct flight to Kuala Lumpur since February 10, 2017. It had then suspended its service from November 2018 after the government stopped providing labor permits to Nepali migrant workers to Malaysia.

According to Himalaya Airlines, it resumed direct flights in the run-up to the Visit Nepal Year 2020 to attract tourists from Malaysia to Nepal.

The company said it will operate flight to Kuala Lumpur on Monday and Tuesday.

The flights are expected to play a significant role in promoting human resources, bilateral trade, and tourism, the company said.

The airline company which was established in August 2014 is currently operating flights to eight different destinations including Dammam, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Kuala Lumpur, Dhaka, Guiyang, Beijing, and Changsha.
