PM announces cash prize to SAG medal winners



KATHMANDU: The government has announced cash prize to the winners of gold, silver and bronze medals in the recently concluded 13th South Asian Games (SAG).

Prime Minister K P Oli announced a cash prize of Rs 900,000 to each gold medal winners, and Rs 600,000 and Rs 3,00,000 to the winners of silver and bronze medals respectively.

Nepal pocketed 51 gold medals in the 13th SAG held in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Janakpur. Nepal got second in the medal tally winning 206 medals with 60 silver and 95 bronze medals.
