KATHMANDU: The snowfall is forecast in highlands and light rain is expected in the hilly regions due to westerly winds from Wednesday evening, according to Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).

The westerly wind formed in the east of Iran and Afghanistan has entered Nepal, which is likely to cause cloudy weather and rain, said Samir Shrestha, a meteorologist.
